PRODUCT INFORMATION
Designed for Yamaha single outboard engines with mechanical or digital (DBW) controls and a separate ignition switch. Supplied with a Plug&Play wiring harness for easy installation, connecting directly to the existing wiring.
*A minor modification to the Yamaha ignition switch is required for the CoastKey system to operate correctly. Please refer to the installation instructions for details.
If you plan to use the extra function for remote trim/tilt control, we offer dedicated adapters for both mechanical and DBW installations:

Important – Yamaha Y-COP / EKS (Electronic Key Switch/FOB) If your Yamaha outboard is equipped with Y-COP or Yamaha’s EKS electronic key/FOB system, the Yamaha system must be disabled before CoastKey can be installed. This requires service by an authorized Yamaha dealer. If you currently use a Yamaha FOB to unlock or enable your engines, please contact an authorized Yamaha dealer to have the system disabled before installing CoastKey.
CoastKey and Yamaha Y-COP/EKS are not recommended for use together.

COASTKEY PREMIUM is a complete keyless system with remote START/STOP and remote TRIM/TILT in addition to a wireless kill switch (ECOS).
In addition to the Engine Control Box, Harness and Start Panel (which is mounted in clear view at the steering position), the system is equipped with a 5-button wireless remote control (FOB). Beyond the benefits of using the Start Panel (described below), the FOB can be used to turn on the ignition and start and stop the engine(s) wirelessly. When you have the FOB with you, it is not necessary to enter a PIN code to unlock the panel.
By wearing the FOB at all times, the captain is secured with one of the market’s best wireless man-overboard systems, which ensures that the boat stops if you fall overboard.
With PREMIUM you can remotely tilt the engine(s) up and down.
Handy when you arrive at the boat and can stand on the jetty to tilt the engine(s) down and then start them before getting on board and casting off. This is also useful when launching with a boat trailer.
Even without the FOB, you can always start the boat using the Start Panel, which is mounted in clear view at the steering position. To “unlock” you simply enter a PIN code instead of using an ignition key. It is easy to change the PIN code to restrict access, for example after loaning out the boat.
