Designed for Volvo Penta engines equipped with EVC systems from EVC A through EVC D and separate ignition key switch(es).
Supplied with a CoastKey Plug & Play wiring harness for for a straightforward installation and integration with the existing Volvo Penta wiring.
Compatibility: Suitable for single- or multi-engine Volvo Penta installations with EVC A–D and separate ignition key switch(es). Not recommended for newer Volvo Penta installations using more advanced keyless systems with key fobs and no ignition key switch(s).

COASTKEY BASIC is the basic version of CoastKey.
In addition to the Engine Control Box and Harness, it consists of a Start Panel which is mounted in clear view at the steering position. To “unlock” you simply enter a PIN code instead of using an ignition key. The obvious advantage of this solution is that you have keyless access to the boat, and if there are several people using the boat, everyone has the same access without having to have their own keys. It is easy to change the PIN code to restrict access, for example after loaning out the boat.

CoastKey is installed instead of, or in parallel with, the existing ignition key, and you can still use the existing kill-switch lanyard.
