Designed for Tohatsu outboard engines equipped with a side-mounted control box and an integrated ignition switch, or an aftermarket key switch. The supplied Cut & Splice wiring harness gets spliced into the existing wiring.

*Installation requires access to the wiring inside the control box. The control box must be opened during installation.

COASTKEY BASIC is the basic version of CoastKey.

In addition to the Engine Control Box and Harness, it consists of a Start Panel which is mounted in clear view at the steering position. To “unlock” you simply enter a PIN code instead of using an ignition key. The obvious advantage of this solution is that you have keyless access to the boat, and if there are several people using the boat, everyone has the same access without having to have their own keys. It is easy to change the PIN code to restrict access, for example after loaning out the boat.
